What's Up This Weekend?

February 14 - 16, 2014

The Insider's picks for the most happenin' events in town.

Make Valentine's "A Night to Remember" with Rambo Party Productions.

Friday, February 14th

Best Chance of Getting Lucky on Valentine’s Day
What: Rambo Party Productions presents “A Night to Remember”
Where: Lakeside, Tahoe City
When: Friday, February 14th; 9pm

“Prepare to GET DOWN. Prepare to DANCE NON STOP.” At least that’s what the promo flyers promise. The Rambo Production team throws a good party, so I wouldn’t doubt it. Music by Chango, Grubtron, Ground$core, and Lamb Chop. $5 before 10pm / $10 after 10pm.

Reason to go: If you have a date, this could be the best Valentine’s deal around; if you don’t, you just might by the end of the night.

Friday, February 14th

Best Way to While Away the Afternoon with Your Valentine
What: 2013 Pink Barn Rosé Release
Where: Truckee River Winery
When: Friday, February 14th; 12 – 7pm

Truckee River Winery invites you to the tasting room for Valentine’s Day. Help celebrate the release of their 2013 Pink Barn Rosé and enjoy assorted appetizers, desserts, truffle and wine tasting.

Reason to go: Nothing says love like a dry rosé. Or something like that.

Saturday and Sunday, February 15 – 16th

Best Way to Use Your Squaw Pass for Something Other than Skiing
What:
Jurassic 5 & Random Rab
Where: Squaw Valley – KT Base Bar
When: Saturday, February 15th; 6pm

What: Matisyahu & Chali 2na and the House of Vibe
Where: Squaw Valley – KT Base Bar
When: Sunday, February 16th; 6pm

Two super fun shows out at Squaw this weekend, featuring some big names in the hip hop world. Free to passholders and ticket holders (from that day). All ages. Standing room only. And it’s outdoors, so dress appropriately.

Reason to go: It’s free, it’s fun. It’s making up for the fact you only have three days on your Squaw pass this year.
