Friday, July 12th

Best Friday Evening Cocktail Party, Ya’ll
What: Cowgirls and Cocktails Ride
Where: Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center
When: Friday, July 12th; 5pm-7pm

Cowgirls and cowboys are invited to unite in Tahoe Donner this Friday and select Fridays to come. Enjoy an evening trail ride from 5pm-6pm followed by drinks and appetizers from 6pm-7pm. $65 dollars per person; $55 for TD residents. 21 and up only.

Reason to go: The perfect excuse to get your inner cowboy/girl on.
Reason not to go: Free concert in Kings Beach from 6pm-8:30pm. Friday Music on the Beach – Sneaky Creatures

Saturday, July 13th

Best Way to Back Up All That Talk
What: Tough Mudder: Tahoe Summer
Where: Northstar Resort
When: Saturday July 13th and Sunday 14th

Tough Mudder is coming to Truckee! Haven’t heard of it? A series of events with a 10-12 mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces, Tough Mudder is a hardcore twist on marathon running. You can still join in the intensity by registering at Northstar Saturday or Sunday morning as early as 7:40am (online registration closed). Spectators are welcome as well.  

Reason to go: You want to flaunt the results of your early morning PX90.
Reason not to go: You are running for cancer instead at the American Cancer Society 7th Annual Relay for Life. More info here.

Sunday, July 14th

Best Way to End the Weekend with a (silent) Bang
What: Fresh Bakin’ presents “Silent Sunset Silent Disco”
Where: The Patio at North Tahoe Event Center, Kings Beach
When: Sunday, July 14th; 1pm

Headphones on, shoes off, time to party! Get there at 1pm for a full day on the beach and be sure to stay for the sunset over Lake Tahoe. DJs for the afternoon include Aligning Minds, Chango, Coop da Loop, DJJD, Dubcoling, DubFyah, Gibran, Gurbtron, IJV, Jeremy Curl, Mr. Rooney, SubDocta, Tim Herrlein, and more to be announced. Silent Frisco will provide the high quality headphones.

This is an all-ages event with a full bar available for guests 21 and older.Tickets are $20 in advance at FreshBakin.InTicketing.com, Melting Pot World Emporium (Reno), and New Moon (Truckee) or $25 the day of event.

Reason to go: Best part about wearing headphones at a party; put them on and avoid small talk, take them off and you can have a conversation.
Reason not to go: Concerts at Commons Beach – The California Honeydrops; 4pm-7pm
