Snow + Art + Beer = Rad
What: Carve Tahoe

An international snow sculpture celebration, this is Carve’s first year bringing the majestic and awe-inspiring art of snow sculpting to Tahoe. Over the weekend, snow carving teams from around the world transform 20-ton blocks of pure white snow into breathtaking sculptures that will only be displayed until the sun melts them away. Works by Tahoe local, Chris Banovich of North Tahoe Catering Company will be featured around the event. Free and open to the public, every $1 fan vote benefits Sierra Avalanche Center. www.carvetahoe.com

Get Beads! Get Drunk! Get Down With Awesome DJs!
What: Mardi Squaw
Where: Olympic House, Squaw Valley
Heckler Magazine presents the first 'Mardi Squaw' party at Squaw Valley, featuring the World Famous Silent Disco, San Francisco Favorites Planet Booty, DJ J.Boogie, as well as awesome local DJs Zeb Early, James Bogen, Rooney, and Micah J. Mardi Gras attire is encouraged, and the more elaborate, the more beads they’ll toss your way! Big Truck Brand will be on location custom sewing Mardi Squaw Hats, and a portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the High Fives Foundation. The Playa Beckons
What: Last day to pre-register for the official Burning Man ticket sale
When: Pre-Registration closes at noon on Sunday, Feb 10th
The Org promises to have ironed out the kinks concerning ticket sales this year. We’ll see. The pre-registration period for the Burning Man 2013 Individual Ticket Sale started Wed, February 6th and runs through Sunday, February 10th at 12pm (noon) PST. Pre-registering will give you access to the sale NEXT Wednesday, February 13th (starting at 12pm PST). The Individual Sale will make 40,000 tickets available to those who are pre-registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reason to do it: You know you’re going to go, just suck it up and get your tickets now.
Reason not to: There will be tons of tickets available later in the summer.
