Best FREE Blues Concert in Tahoe
What: Bluesdays featuring Chris Cain
Where: The Village at Squaw Valley

Catch FREE concerts every Tuesday this July and August in The Village at Squaw Valley. Guitarist and blues singer, Chris Cain is known for his remarkable guitar skills and noteworthy song writing ability.
Reason to go: A perfect way to kick of the 4th of July festivities.
Reason not to go: You have the family dressed like the cast of Austin Powers and are headed to Retro Skate Night at Northstar. This is also a FREE event; skate rentals are $10 (and a portion of that is going to the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe).

Best Way to Party Like It's the 4th, on the 3rd...
What: Beach Party & July 3rd Fireworks Celebration
Where: Kings Beach State Recreation Area
When: Wednesday July, 3rd; Beach Party -2pm, Fireworks -9:30pm
All ages, all day beach party in Kings Beach featuring DJ Chango and local band One Track Mind. Keep cool with a dunk tank and beer garden, while checking out food vendors and contests that include sand castle building, watermelon eating, and best patriotic costume. The fireworks are set to fire off at 9:30pm over Lake Tahoe. Attendees are encouraged not to drive to the event.
Reason to go: A day’s worth of events all in one spot – no driving necessary!
Reason not to go: You're skipping the fireworks and walking over to The Grid for Whomp Whomp Wednesdays.
Thursday, July 4th Extravaganzas
Firecracker Mile and 4th of July Parade
Where: Historic Downtown Truckee
Isn’t this what we do on the 4th? Thankfully, Truckee does it so much better than everyone else. This year, the parade theme celebrates the Town of Truckee’s 150 years of establishment and 20 years of incorporation. Be sure to get there early to check out the Firecracker Mile Fun Run from US Bank to the Train Station at 9:45am. Get registration info here!

Tahoe City Fireworks
Where: Commons Beach in Downtown Tahoe City
When: Dusk. Arrive early to picnic and for a good spot.
Incline Village Fireworks
Where: The beaches of Incline
*The town is claiming that this will be their best show yet and possibly the best show in the country.

Where: Lakeside Nightclub & Hacienda Del Lago
When : 9pm. Music starts after the fireworks.
