Brave the Snow, Support Local Art

If you’re willing to brave the snow, there are several exciting art openings and receptions happening in town tonight!

Riverside Studios and the High Fives Foundation present the “Lion Heart Art Show”
4 - 8pm
Riverside Studios, 10060 Donner Pass Rd

A fundraiser for the CR Johnson Healing Center, this show will feature local artists using 12”x12” panels of wood to create masterpieces in any medium. From 4:00pm to 8:00pm during the downtown Truckee event “First Friday” all of the art will be displayed on the walls of Riverside Studios and available for purchase for $100.00 per panel on a first come first serve basis.

A portion of each panel sold will benefit the CR Johnson Healing Center – a program service of the High Fives Foundation that provides resources for athletes in recovery from sport related injuries.

The show will also feature beats from 101.5 FM Truckee Tahoe Radio’s own DJ Treez along with drinks and refreshments.

John Pugh presents "Walking Into Walls”
Coffeebar, 10120 Jibboom St

Several of John's works have been featured at Coffeebar throughout the month, and he will present a digital screening of his pieces tonight. This is a presentation that Pugh has given at cities all over the world. You won't want to miss this unique artist reception!

Food and drink will be available for purchase.

The TDRPD presents “Going Wild for Animals”
5 - 7pm
New Community Center

This new art installation, curated by the Truckee Public Art Commission and hung at TDRPD's Community Center opens tonight with a public reception.
